Peterborough & District Angling Association against fish theft

Here at the P&DAA we take Angling related crime including fish theft very seriously, protecting our fish stocks for future generations of anglers is something we are very passionate about.

We can not do this on our own, to make a real difference it will take more than just our bailiff’s on the banks to stop the theft of our fish stocks so we have teamed up with the Environment Agency,The Angling Trust, AT Building Bridges Project, The Rural Crime Action Team and Cambridgeshire Police.

We have had great success in arranging day time and out of hours patrols on our waters and we will continue to arrange many more. We still need more help and you the angler can help us to ensure our fish stocks remain and flourish for future generations of anglers.

By being our “eyes and ears” on the banks is a great way for you to be involved with tackling angling crime in fact it would make a massive difference as it would give our Bailiff’s direct information as to when and where this is happening allowing our Bailiffs to be in the right place at the right time.

Below you will find a list of numbers that you can text or call to report incidents that have happened or are in progress. We will always respond by sending our bailiff’s out to incidents in progress. You really can help to make a difference, so please put those phone numbers in your phone for future use.
