53 anglers fished the River Nene quallifier in warm, muggy conditions. Bream fed in numbers throughout the match length as the river showed its best summer form.

Eventual winner was Luke Downing who landed 35 bream for 130lb 2oz caught mostly on worm and feeder tactics from peg 58 in C section. Runner up was Dan Abbott with 76lb 14oz of pole caught bream from peg 59 and third place from peg 57 was Andy Johnstone with a pole caught bream catch of 61lb 0oz. Rounding off the top four was Colin Oakman who caught 6 bream on the pole for 35lb 9oz in A section.

Qualifiers for the RiverFest final on The Trent are Luke Downing, C Zone winner, Colin Oakman, A Zone winner and Rob ‘Jono’ Johnson who caught 1 bream and a net of pole caught silvers from peg 23 to win a tricky Zone B.
