Coaches wanted for 2027, and we’ll pay for your training
Peterborough & District Angling Association and School Of Fish are looking for new coaches in the Peterborough area for 2027, and P&DAA will pay for your training.
Training is at one of two levels. The Angling Support Assistant is a day on the bank with a tutor plus some e-learning, and you’re qualified to assist a Lead Coach at sessions. Open to anyone 16 or over, nothing needed beforehand. The Lead Angling Coach is the 1st4Sport Level 2: a practical day, an assessment day and e-learning at your own pace, and you can run sessions yourself. For anglers 18 or over with some experience.
Both include the enhanced DBS check, first-year insurance and certification. P&DAA covers the course fee for coaches joining its own team, in exchange for an agreed level of commitment each year, which we’ll discuss with you before you start.
Once you’re qualified, you’ll coach new anglers at our First Time Fishing and Skills School sessions in Peterborough, working through the School Of Fish Diploma with them. It’s a 25-badge scheme that takes people from first time to full time, so you can see exactly what each of them has learned and what comes next.
To find out more or to put your name down, email info@schooloffish.co.uk and say which course you’re interested in.
