Ferry Meadows

The lakes at Ferry Meadows Country Park, Overton & Gunwade, are nationally famed for their bream fishing, with match weights well over 100lb very possible. The two lakes are conjoined and also open to the River Nene. The park officially opened in 1978 as part of the masterplan for the expansion of Peterborough and angling has featured heavily since this time. As well as bream, the lakes hold a good head of silverfish, tench, pike, zander and specimen carp to over 40lb. Matches are held regularly throughout the spring and summer (please visit the latest news page for more details) and all are welcome to take part. There are 120 numbered swims across the 2 lakes, offering a wide variety of features to suit all conditions. Safe and convenient parking and facilities are provided by Nene Park Trust and P&DAA members can enjoy a large discount on yearly parking permits for the Park. See below for details
