This iconic stretch of the River Nene with approximately 120 pegs is home to large shoals of bream with weights of over 100lb being recorded during the summer months. Roach, Perch and Skimmers are also present in numbers and the venue is suited to all methods with the feeder and pole and float tactics dominating. Like are regularly caught on spinning tactics. Depths are around 12 to 14 foot in the middle. There are a number of lay-bys where anglers can park. Anglers may park behind their peg on this stretch but care must be taken to park carefully on the bank side verge and away from traffic using the road. A good platform and waders are recommended in many pegs.

The Bedford Gravels section starts at the upstream end of the North Bank section and comprises approximately 120 pegs. There is a metalled track that runs behind the pegs. Fishing is from comfortable level pegs and the depth is between 10 and 12 feet in the middle. Predominantly a summer and autumn venue, large Bream shoals are the target of most visitors either fishing the pole of feeder and the stretch also hold good stocks of Roach, Perch Skimmers and Pike. Summer match weights exceeding 70lb have been recorded in recent seasons.

Starting below the Bedford Gravels section around the Millennium Bridge (PE67YY) and extending to the Dog in a Doublet Sluice (PE6 0RW) along the North Bank Road, this iconic stretch of the River Nene with approximately 120 pegs is home to large shoals of bream with weights of over 100lb being recorded.

The Bedford Gravels section starts at the upstream end of the North Bank section and comprises approximately 120 pegs. This is a gated section accessed from limited parking either at the Millennium Bridge (PE67YY) or from a gate near the start of Potters Way (near PE1 5UT) where a pathway leads to the Fitzwilliam Bridge at the upstream end of the venue.
